This book had so many twists and turns that it was hard to keep up with in some regards. You'd just get used to one thing, and then it does a one eighty with a twist. Elena continues to evolve, and while the Cascade may now be over, it's unclear just how "settled" things will be. I could see the series ending here, but I also feel like there are a lot of stories left to tell with these characters, and they don't get boring. While it is unlikely there will be dull moments with the number of archangels currently awake, with the number still healing and other variables still at play, there could be more adventure yet to come.

Hidden Legacy 4: Sapphire Flames by Ilona Andrews

Mostly read this on a flight to Paris. It's a fast read once you really get into it, but not as engaging as the original series. We do hear about Rogan and Nevada, but it's mostly in passing or when one of them is on the phone. For the most part, this is all Catalina, who has taken over as head of House Baylor after effectively leading a family revolt to stop Nevada from working herself into the ground. Unlike Nevada, Catalina's romance is flavored by her teen crush and a healthy dose of fear regarding her powers. Grandma Tremaine coming back into the picture makes her outlook even more dim. Alessandro does prove to have more depth than originally expected, but also still remains questionable. Perhaps my favorite character is Linus stepping in as the Prime Godfather to Catalina and her family. He's proving to be a good resources even if he is into a lot of high power and secretive crazy things going on in the Prime world. Sounds like Catalina will be learning all bout it with her new position while she figures things out... Again.

Tomb Raider

Tomb Raider (2018)

This was an interesting movie. Very different than the originals, and inconsistent as well, so it cannot be seen as a true prequel. Still, if just watched as a stand alone film with no tie to any of the other media or releases for the character thus far, it's entertaining. Not my favorite of the Tom Raider films so far, but not bad.

Agent M was determined to join the MIB, basically forcing herself into the ranks against all odds after an encounter of the intergalactic type when she was a child. This encounter ends up paying off for her and her new partner, Agent H. Didn't expect a lot coming into this given the critiques I'd overheard. There are a lot of inconsistencies with the original trilogy, however, if you watch it just as a stand alone movie within the same universe, it is entertaining.

Not my usual type of movie pic, but when trapped on a 9+ hour flight, why not?! I was pleasantly surprised with how I enjoyed this film. Plenty of clinches; the whole story is basically one joke after another all rolled into a big cliche sandwich. Still, it's enjoyable for all it's predictability, and the music is entertaining.
