The sheer obliviousness is hilarious. Everyone already basically sees Amelia paired with Prince Sarge, especially once she secures her position as his partner in his research and the engagement with Reese is dealt with. Even Prince Julius makes decisions to move forward and the group continues to evolve, though remains with their core set. It's even more hilarious when Amelia's father meets Prince Sarge and sees just how comfortable Amelia is at the palace given all of her time there researching. The situation of an heir is even covered rather neatly, though not without some jealousy. For all that things seem to be moving smoothly, there's something going on in the background with this masked guard that seems too interested in Amelia. We'll have to wait for the next volume to see if her suspicions as to their identity are correct and what this individual may want with her though, as this is our cliffhanger at the end of the volume.

Amelia's school situation seems to be improving with her new unexpected friendships and at least some of the truth coming to light, but that's not enough to entirely stop the rumors, especially with Reese himself now getting involved and cornering her rather publicly. Prince Julius seems equal parts relieved to have Amelia around for Prince Sarge and also concerned as it becomes clear just how well matched these two may be when it comes to their research. Hopefully things will continue to improve and this newest obstacle won't cause too much damage to their plans.

Amelia thought everything would be fine once she entered the academy and could see her fiancée again, except instead that seems to be the start of all her troubles. Fortunately, she's rather determined still to do well in school and has found some unexpected aid from some rather influential people. The princes aren't nearly as blind or cruel as her fellow classmates seem to be. It will be interesting to see how this latest disaster plays out once Prince Julius joins the fray, especially with his ability to replay scenes, which would very quickly find the truth of everyone's claims. Curious what the prince will think about this girl that seems to be the ring leader in class as well and her claims to his future.
