Oddly, it bothers me that as a simple reader book, this uses all of the turtles' abbreviated nicknames and none of their full real names. As a simple reader book, it makes sense how it is written and flows so there are obvious segments for each page to keep a child from being overwhelmed. The story is also very short, with an underlying theme that the best gifts aren't always things you can wrap.
