Alice the Fairy by David Shannon

This is a cute story how a little girl decides she's a temporary fairy, and uses her magic training to fix accidents and problems as they come up. It's unlikely she'll ever be a permanent real fairy, but it's amazing what a little imagination (and some help) can come up with to fix the day.
