Fiancée of the Wizard 4

Fiancée of the Wizard 4 by Masaki Kazuka

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Just when you think the curse has been unraveled, Filimena is injured again, the same way she was when she and Ediedeyrus were children, and it turns out the one who cast the curse was technically the hired help in the task. The real culprit is a little deluded to think they "deserve" so much. Still, that doesn't seem to change what would have happened even if the caster actually liked Filimena and had recognized who she was before the casting. Perhaps the best part of all though, is the conclusion. Doesn't seem like there will be much hiding going on in the future, and now everyone knows exactly who Filimena is to their master wizard.

Well, they're finally married, but that doesn't seem to change much as Edy is determined to keep Filimena away from all the meddling nobles, so no one that wasn't at their wedding knows about it. As usual, Filimena is too kind and friendly to everyone she meets. Unfortunately, her determination to not be a bother to Edy makes things even worse as this curse progresses. Meanwhile, rumors and suspicions are heating up with Lady Valentine setting her sights on Egiedeyrus and Servus perhaps being a little too interested in "Suzette".

While some cliches are followed, fortunately the one Filimena fears the most isn't. Still, it's a long road from their childhood, through school and this new quest before there's any answer on their long awaited wedding. Interesting it comes in the middle of the series given the title, but hopefully means more good things to come.

Fiancée of the Wizard 1

Fiancée of the Wizard 1 by Masaki Kazuka

Filimina was thirty years old when she was hit by a car and woke up as a three year old in a different world. She's done her best to learn what she can in this new magical world and made friends (and accidentally fiancées) with her best friend and the strongest magician in the land. Edy seems determined to protect her, but his silence on the matter comes across as disinterest and a lack of caring, yet those around them seem to clearly see no one else will do for either of these pair. Even the princess, who is another elite considered blessed by the gods, goes so far as to attempt to give Edy a hint to help his relationship with his fiancée. Now if only the rest of those pesky nobles would take a hint.
