I remember watching this when I was a child. Given my daughter's shared love of animals, we figured it was past time to watch it again. Shadow, Chance and Sassy are three family pets left with a relative when their family temporarily relocates for work. It doesn't take long for the pets to take matters into their own hands and set off through the wilds to find their family on their own. They have a couple of close calls that would have found their family sooner... or put them on a wild animal's dinner plate. In the end though, they do the impossible - find their way home. It's an amusing story for families with cute "talking" pets (at least the animals can talk to each other, though the humans don't understand them). Mercy was literally crying in relief when they pets found their family at the end - cute show.
