Sensual Phrase (1999)

The rating is mostly because I love the music in this series. It is also interesting to see the varied dynamics between the characters, their families, and each other. They have such different directions and ideas, that it makes for a very interesting story how they all come together and make the most of their talent. There is, of course, a lot of underlying love stories, though they aren't covered in nearly the detail from the anime as they are from the manga. The anime also covers a lot more ground prior to the bands formation and official debut, though it does not follow as far as the manga does into their future. It is hard to find a decent copy of this to watch online currently as the only forms released were in VHS back in the day and they are few and far between.
