Fake It to Break It! I Faked Amnesia to Break off My Engagement & Now He's All Lovey-Dovey! 3

It seems there is at least one person determined to prove Viola isn't a good match for Phil, yet the more that comes to light, the more it becomes clear that they actually cared for each other all along, they just weren't on the same page. Vivi comes in handy once again, as does Zeke, despite also being one of the causes for rumors. Fortunately, Zeke and Phil are also good friends, so he doesn't seem to get jealous or worried over Viola spending time with her cousin like with other men. Curious to see if the light novels go any further in detail than this ending, though this would admittedly also be a good place for this story to end given the foundation for how it started and the title. Took awhile, and more than a few misunderstandings, but it looks like Viola may have had her perfect prince all along.

Viola has come to accept Phil's feelings as the truth, thanks in no small part to Vivi of all the unusual sources of information. Now she has to figure out her own emotions, which may be even more challenging. She also continues to struggle with this amnesia ruse she's put upon herself, though, as Zeke reminds her, she will not have another chance like this to fake amnesia and dig into things unknowingly compared to when she "regains" her memories and will be expected to play her role in society more consistently once again. Phil genuinely seems to enjoy even the smallest encounter or token from Viola, but at the same time, doesn't seem to do well with her attention focused on others, unless he's there fielding the crowd for her. There are many highlights in the story, but the hotel scene is especially sweet, while still remaining innocent.

Viola has been engaged to Philip since they were both babies, literally raised to be together. Philip seems reluctant when they spend time together, which, combined with some painful childhood memories, lead Viola to believe that they are not suited for each other and would both be happier if they could call of the engagement. A carriage accident seems to be her perfect chance to fake amnesia and hand Philip all perfectly reasonable choices for him to break off their engagement - except he seems determined to hold on even tighter than before, claiming that they were in love before her memory loss and declaring to stay beside her regardless of her memories. There are more than a few awkward situations as Viola tries to figure out what game Phil is playing here, but she can't fool everyone. Her cousin, Zeke, seems an unlikely ally, though possibly only because he gets just as much enjoyment from being on the inside of this hilarious game the pair are playing together. Just what is the truth in all of this, and if Phil does truly feel this way, why was he always so distant previously?
