Wow there's a lot of tie-ins in this movie while also still being a tad off the rails, like most Ant-Man films seem to end up being. Of course it wouldn't be an adventure without adding yet another Ant-Man suit to the group as well, though they never seem to come up with a name for Cassie. Scott's dialogue is, as usual, both on-point and slightly off at the same time, resulting in a unique sort of comedy in these stories. This addition to the series does not include his best friend with the rambling intros and end summaries however, leaving Scott to fill that gap in his own unique way. Teasers with both Kang and Loki towards the end would indicate the story isn't over either.

Ant-Man wasn't very popular when I was younger and reading comics on a regular basis. I'm finding I enjoy the combination of superhero and comedy in this new version however. It's a very different type of comedy than with Deadpool, but no less entertaining. We also see more of the quantum realm and it's various effects on different users as they try to outwit several other groups, including the FBI and ex-SHIELD operatives to save Hope's mother. Lucky for everyone, she appears to have brought back some rather unique abilities from the quantum realm. It will be interesting to see how this all plays into events with Infinity War.

Scott Lang was a thief until a heist turns him into a would be hero. This movie's only real purpose is honestly his training and introducing him to the Avengers, via his run in with Falcon when he's challenged to steal something from the Avengers' facility. Supposedly he'll make another appearance in the up-coming Captain America 3: Civil War film, which will officially bring him into the Avengers roster. It is interesting to see how Marvel is choosing to give their heroes their chosen "powers" in this universe given their lack of ability to use "mutants" while Fox still owns the X-Men rights.
