It's a good thing Iris already planned on coming clean to the village head, but that may not be enough to avoid all suspicion as she seems to trip up more and more often falling back on memories of her past now that they've reached the hidden village. Curious if things will go so well with this spiritual spring and the latest fight that has broken out, though at least it seems that Prince Alvin's previous queen may not be the obstacle she may have been - at least if she is truly as enamored of Iris as she seems, just like everyone else.

The Prince Is in the Villainess' Way! 3 by Minami Shiina

It seems Iris has made a good call gathering intel in advance and bringing the royal family into her plans as the timeline has shifted from what she remembers from her previous life. This Marquis Leicester could have caused a lot of trouble indeed had his plan worked. It's sad for Princess Fiona, as it seems like he is a relative on her mother's side, but also seems to thoroughly shatter his delusions and will to continue his plots. Between this and Iris' aiding Princess Fiona and her advisors in avoiding other disasters, she seems to have won even more favor. Still, for all that everyone she meets seems to adore her and cling to her, Prince Alvin continues to be rebuffed in the most hilarious manners.

It seems it may be an even better fate than imagined that Iris was able to escape her previous engagement, as even in another land, her ex-fiancé manages to make a fool of himself. Fortunately, Prince Alvin seems to be on her side at least for the time being, and confident in her abilities to pass the trials put before her. Iris makes the most of things, even managing to reconnect with her previous grandfather, not that any of them are aware of her connections to any of them in the past. Alvin may have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with Iris at this point, though it's difficult to tell if he's still just trying to figure her out or if he genuinely is interested in her.

This is slightly different when it comes to reincarnation and isekai stories, as Wise Princess Iris regains memories of her previous life as Warrior Princess Fiona, but that same princess is currently alive while they live in a current time prior to her first death. This leads to not only some unusual inside knowledge, but also additional abilities and skills that Iris is able to remember from her first life, though some seems to only become clear as circumstances arise to help make those memories clearer. This Prince Alvin seems to be difficult to read given his current actions and Iris' memories of her previous life as the two don't always align very well. At least it seems she's managed to catch their interest and the current Princess Fiona's approval so she has a chance to rewrite her previous fate.
