Midnight Sparkling

There's an underlying theme in these one-shots especially of forced relationships and encounters that the other party doesn't want, especially when they're trying to portray confidence in unlikely situations. That's really not okay on a lot of levels. The art might be pretty, but that's a poor wrapping for a bad story with negative undertones that should not be accepted mainstream. I get it's something of a fetish, but that still doesn't make it alright. The assumption here that someone who works as an alter alias at a strip club would automatically be okay with anything else is sick. There is no respect for other individuals outside of their own positions in these stories.
Kemonohito Omegaverse: Petit Mignon

This is a cute little bit of fluff that focuses on Daato and Juda's children. The two alpha twins are definitely a handful, but oddly cute in their own earnest approach to things. Luckily Daato balances out a lot of their more forceful and willful personalities (likely coming from their more aggressive and stoic father's side of the family). This is officially considered a side story, but it really is a lot cuter and easier to stomach than the main series, though young Kai was pretty cute in the original installment.
Blue Rose

Another short story that focuses on the relationship too much and ignores the actual story. Leo is considered the "king" of his aristocratic school, looking down on the Japanese transfer student. Of course the unnamed "outsider" is the son of the man Leo's mother is marrying because she lost the family fortune.... and the two polar opposites are in a relationship of their own which apparently will be public knowledge when their parents marry at the end of the school year? Too many questions and holes in the overall story and interaction, not the least being that one of the two main characters is never called by name. Seriously? That and the whole family marriage/double relationship thing just makes it weird.

The Pressure of an Evil Spirit, Sweetly Dripping

This was just disturbing. The whole sacrifice, forced relationship, and then the creepy transformation thing. Nope, not a thing. Not enjoyable at all. The human artwork is pretty. The God art was downright creepy, which was probably the point actually. The story however, not okay, and not written in depth enough to turn it okay in any possible way it's looked at. As a one-shot, it's horribly lacking in too many ways.

Kemonohito Omegaverse: Remnant

This is Daato's story, going hand in hand with Pendulum, where we get hints of this story along the way. Daato is still set on finding his sister, though that doesn't ever seem to be a reality. Daato and Juda also had a very rough start to their relationship, neither one wanting it to begin with. Kinda stupid how they both keep fighting over it though when they're obviously happiest together, regardless of if it's part of their bond or not. It's unclear if that trend continues or gets better with future changes, especially as Daato and Kai become friends at the mansion and Daato obviously ends up spending more time there then at Juda's private home. We never really see Will outside of this bit either, so we also don't know how the raids end up playing out with the church.

Torokeru Kami-kon

Eichi and Jinno both seem to be in denial, though over different aspects of their relationship to start with. Jinno is more accepting of everything overall and seems to not understand Eichi's reluctance in the least. Eichi, while being attracted to Jinno and obviously liking their time together, hates anything that potential labels them as being together or acting as such. Overall, they have a very twisted and unhealthy relationship at this point. While there might be potential, right now it's all just bordering on painful, and that prevents it from being really attractive as a story.
Kemonohito Omegaverse: Pendulum

I'm wondering if this is where the Omegaverse fanfiction craze came from or if this was influenced by that craze and adapted for the story here. Either way, it's.... different. Kai is definitely rather naive and also extremely lucky that he ends up in such a favorable position. It ends, but at the same time it doesn't, and gives several small arcs and flashes into different scenarios. I guess the final pairing is really the "ending" since that at least gets everyone lined up correctly in a romantic sense.

Ayashi no Hakoniwa ni Ukabu Tsuki

This has some potential for an interesting story line, but it isn't there just yet. The variety of demons, "beast" children, and other supernatural elements (or mononoke) is interesting, especially with all of them being gathered at this "secret" school that most think is just for children who need to stay out of the limelight due to things like politics and money. The brand thing is also new from anything else I've seen with prominent demon/supernatural pieces, at least in this context. Descendants of Darkness did have demon contracts that were occasionally visible (thinking the devil eye arc), but that's the only one that I can even vaguely recall. The dynamics are more than a little confusing. Despite the main focus being on Akatsuki, we also never really see his entire demon form, leading to more confusion as supposedly the rest of the cast becomes more comfortable and accepting of the relationship. Feels like it leaves a lot of things to the imagination and/or left hanging without a real conclusion or direction.
