Strawberry Shortcake 1: Sky's the Limit

As usual, something goes wrong, and it's up to Strawberry and her friends to fix it. Usually it's Strawberry who comes up with either the solution or the advice that leads to the solution. Even Strawberry's resolve gets tested this time around as the twins take over Berry Bitty Town in a not-so-nice way.

Strawberry Shortcake 07: Jammin with Cherry Jam

Fame and fortune look like fun when Cherry Jam comes for a visit and a talent scout shows up in Berry Bitty Town. At the end of the day though, even the Berry Big City can't break up this group of friends. Still, we'll get lots of music as the talent scout tries.

Strawberry Shortcake 2: The Berryfest Princess

We see a little bit of democracy come into play here as Strawberry and Orange end up running against each other to become the berryfest princess. Strawberry also needs a reminder that work is easier to get done, and do right, when you have fun doing it. Some good lessons couched in a cute kid's show with some popular characters from even when I was a child.

Strawberry Shortcake 11: Fun Under the Sun

The first part of this film proves why it's not good to spread gossip. After getting everyone's hopes up, Blueberry has to figure out how to let everyone know they aren't really going on vacation.... or are they? As usual, the Berry Bitty girls have to pull together to get things done, including some pretty crazy stunts. Just goes to show what a little determination and help can accomplish.

Strawberry Shortcake 12: Berry Best Friends

My daughter picked this as her free movie rental from Fandango thanks to T-Mobile Tuesdays rewards. We were going a little crazy being snowed in for a solid week, so it was nice to have an unexpected new break for free with this. I have vague memories of Strawberry Shortcake from when I was a child, though mostly just because a friend had given me the doll for a birthday. This film is short, cute, and mostly pointless. I guess you could claim some lesson about friendship and helping each other, though I think My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic has covered that one in spades already. Maybe it's not that surprising then that both are now produced by the same company.
