Hime is still stirring up trouble, and may be able to do even more damage with the coupe than originally anticipated. Fortunately, Anise and Lector seem to have made at least a few allies, including the previous prince, though he seems to have a natural weakness to Hime that could be concerning. Rather than the ex-prince, it seems this general may be the larger threat. Not sure what Lector is up to that will prevent the fireworks from starting, but given past history, even if it's cutting it close, he'll do anything and everything he can to help Anise. It's also rather hilarious to hear Anise openly discuss her previous world with Lector, though it's one thing many isekai series are lacking that may be a relief as she can truly be herself with someone she trusts and cares for.

Lector and Anise are making the best of things as usual, but that doesn't mean they are out of the woods. The ups and downs with the villagers are dizzying to keep track of, and not helped really by the obsession the priest sent with them appears to be harboring. While Lector may appear a little too charming sometimes, it's clear that he truly does adore Anise and she has learned to trust him in return. At least the infirmary seems to be doing well, though it will be interesting to see how things go with whoever replaces the priest given the current state of things at the palace. In all likeliness, there are far more obstacles for them to face in the future, especially if they ever hope to escape Hime's scheming.

As feared, things back home are really bad with Hime and the queen now running the show. Hime seems to have managed to get the upper hand even above Anise for a change, and with the new changes, is out of reach even with Lector back at the palace considering he's kept under lock and key. Now it seems they're to be exiled once again, but this time separated in different directions. At least Lector and Anise will be together, though they're definitely in hostile territory now. Hopefully Father Austin will be okay out on his own, though it's hard to tell given his usual carefree attitude. Anise does have a point though where he could have just retired with the news, but chose to leave and keep his title instead. If they're lucky, maybe he has some other idea to help turn the tides once more.

Things are finally looking up again in the neighboring kingdom, but it seems they may be going home straight into the fire with the queen and Hime making their move finally. Just how and what on earth are those two scheming up now. Fortunately, Anise didn't lose her power as they feared and if anything, is stronger than ever, but just how much help will that be if they've turned the tide in favor of a new saint already? How many saints are there to be at any one given time in any land anyway? This is getting a little ridiculous with how often everything comes back to Hime. She's like the bad penny that you can't escape and just keeps turning up over and over again, more persistent than the last time.

So much for being in debt to the saint. Didn't take long for the queen and Hime to put their next plan into motion. This time using the Prime Minister of their neighboring country who also seems to be a lot of trouble. Hopefully Roro can help figure out just what it is he's giving Anise in this so-called medicine so she and the king can both recover. We also get a bit more of Austin's family history and it turns out he has a bit of royal blood himself. Not your typical family reunion, but thankfully is quickly summarized and understood from all sides.

Well, it's going to be real hard to try and deny everything now that the cat's out of the bag so to speak. With this new more powerful stone, the promise with the previous Chief Priest coming to light that blocked Anise's ceremony, and now everyone knowing she has more power that Liana, the queen is going to end up backed into a corner, no matter what whispers Hime has been feeding her. To top it all off, she now owes her own life and her son's to Anise. Fortunately, Lector was working behind the scenes to fix everything or it might not have gone off so well, even if everything looked rather bleak for awhile there. Hopefully they will continue to improve, though it seems Father Austin is either in denial or just throwing a fit at this point given the way things go with their abilities. Really, they seem to have the gist of things down with where everyone would need to be to prevent anyone from pulling strings and making things worse again like they were after the ceremony.

Oof, well if it isn't Hime causing problems, it's the queen and the Chief Priest himself. Unless perhaps there is something in Anise's power that can help the stone and break his reliance on the Chief Priest and his family, it seems unlikely anything will change that will allow the kingdom to see Anise for the true saint that she is instead of pinning their hopes on Liana. They even seem to be going to the extent of attempting to force Lector to divorce Anise so he can marry Liana instead, which of course in not sitting well with Anise even though she's trying to stay brave and do her best. It's hard to really know what is going on behind the scenes at the palace with Roro out of commission as well. That may be the most surprising of all that she would allow herself to be sealed again. Fortunately, Anise has managed to see and repel all attempts to seal her own power so far or things would most likely be even worse at the moment. As is, it seems she may not be able to do much else to help Liana at this rate.

Every time Hime shows up she seems to go off the rails. She is clearly obsessed and more than a little selfish. Anise on the other hand, seems to be both glad and unsure what to think or do with the realization that her safety and the life she dreams of relies on keeping Lex alive indefinitely. Though that isn't a hardship with her newly realized emotions, she's still convinced that they're mismatched and she's not suitable to be by his side. Obviously, he doesn't agree with this assessment or care for it at all. If anything, while they are somewhat blind in their own respective ways, it's clear these two do actually care for each other. Even if the hope is that things will quiet down with the war now over, it seems perhaps not all the danger is over as we start to see more direct conversations behind the scenes with who is most likely the queen and supposedly not someone thrilled with Lex having found the Saint first and gaining her power on his side when he's already supposedly the strongest of the princes.

This Hime really seems to be off the rails. She thinks just because she played the game she has some prior claim to the characters and her narrative is the only true one? It's amazing Anise isn't hateful or bitter towards her, but rather just wary and rightfully concerned when they are in the same in the same area. Hopefully these maids don't cause too many troubles. It seems Lex and his allies are all firmly on the same side now and no longer look down on Anise, even if she doesn't fit in exactly. Can't help but hope that maybe Anise gets over this stubborn outlook she has on the game play and maybe gives in to see if she can truly be happy herself instead of resigned to be alone and hope for the happiness of those she cares for in this world. Seems lonely, especially when Lex and her new father both seem rather keen on keeping her in the family if they have their way.

Well it's hard to deny Anise is the Saint now, even if she apparently doesn't remember as much of the story line from the game as Hime does, as her powers are far different and more obvious. At least it seems her allies remain firmly on her side, though her guardian seems awfully insistent on this new marriage idea to cement her place with Lex. Just what are the boys scheming now? They seem to solidly want what is good for her though, so that's a far cry better than her previous treatment in Oligrow (these places have very interesting names).

This is very similar to other isekai series, especially The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent. Perhaps because I just finished the previous series, the similarities and differences are even more pronounced. While Sei and Aira are both friendly and didn't know how or why they were summoned to a strange place they knew nothing about, in this series, Anise and Hime both recognize the world they are pulled into. Hime also seems to be a bit of a trouble maker where she acts friendly but is out for her own gain and will stab others in the back to get it, especially it seems if that other person is Anise. It is unclear why she seems so threatened or set on pitting them against each other, but it also seems Hime's claims to being the saint may have been a bit premature, not that it's doing Anise any favors. By a lot of luck, which may in no small measure be thanks to the abilities of the priest who takes her in and names her, she at least seems to be making her way where she wants to be and gaining a small group of allies, though this summoning back to the palace could destroy it all.
