Tsuge is as awkward as ever in his relationship with Minato, though he really does mean well. It's hilarious that he goes to Adachi and Kurosawa for advice, though given Adachi is the only other person he's known with these same abilities and most likely the only same sex couple he knows, it makes sense why he turns to them for advise, especially given how much they seem to have accomplished together. This does seem to spark some small worry given not everyone at the company is aware of their situation and certain higher ups are pushing them to "move on and make an honest woman" out of their ring partners - if only they knew. This woman manager seems like she could be problematic as well, though we haven't seen any insight into their discussion yet other than her using Adachi as a lure to force Kurosawa to listen to her. With Tsuge potentially losing his power soon as well it will be interesting to see how things change for these couples and if the focus will remain on them only or if a new character will be introduced with this ability given the series title. While I can't find anything on a next volume release yet, it is hard to see this as the end of the series given the number of open ends and questions yet unresolved.

Though there is only one season in the anime, it covers a lot of the same ground as the manga, so fans of the original books will still recognize the series. The manga has since gone on beyond the point of this season, but they round out the main story well where we focus on Adachi and Kurosawa. We do see the foundation of Tsuge's relationship with Minato as well, though not as in depth in some ways as in the manga. The art is consistent as well, which is a big plus in the anime. There are even small details, like how Adachi's eyes are covered more in the beginning and when he's uncertain of himself, but as he grows comfortable in his relationship with Kurosawa, both of his eyes show consistently and clearly. It's a small detail, but is an interesting potential outward sign of his emotional state at the same time.

This new Tachibana seems like he could be trouble, though it's curious if his story truly does so closely mirror Adachi's or if he's going off stereotypes just to try and hit on him. Poor Adachi is as clueless as ever, but he does catch on and tries in his own awkward way to work things out. Fortunately, Kurosawa understands very well just how clueless Adachi is, not that he's leaving any openings for Tachibana if he can help it. There is a very brief scene with Adachi's friends, but otherwise the majority of the story focuses on Adachi and Tachibana, with of course a healthy dose of Kurosawa to balance things out and cement their relationship. There may be more trouble brewing though with this woman at the bar.

My rating: 3 of 5 starsThis series is still adorable, but there's less overall progress in the story for this volume. What progress is made is with Tsuge's relationship, after he seems rather desperate for Adachi and Kurosawa's help given how they successfully navigated Adachi's abilities. It's understandable Minato would have a very different reaction as both of them are very different people, and Tsuge didn't exactly do a great job of explaining everything to start with. We get a bit of a reverse story highlight as well with what things may have looked like if Kurosawa were the wizard instead of Adachi when their relationship hadn't yet started, though Kurosawa is still head over heels in this version with Adachi is adorably clueless.

While it seems Kurosawa makes it through his challenges okay thanks to Adachi and the rest of their coworkers, Tsuge isn't having as much luck. The drama adaptation is good news, but it seems like Minato's jealousy may stem from some past relationship experience that went badly, and he's not so willing to take the whole magic thing well as Kurosawa was when Adachi told him. Hopefully the two can talk and at least sort things out to be friendly again, but it's not looking good at the moment. A little surprising we don't have a scene with Tsuge going to Adachi for advice about it, though maybe that's just because he knows things obviously worked out for Adachi with Kurosawa and that he did tell him.

It seems the housing hunt is still on, and any big travel plans are on hold, but Adachi and Kurosawa still find ways to celebrate and be together. They even set up a double date with Tsuge and Minato to help them out. Seems like Tsuge may be running into some of the same challenges that Adachi and Kurosawa did at first, especially where Tsuge is relying on the magic and not really communicating with Minato directly. Kurosawa may have some new challenges as well with this new project that is keeping them close to home.

Well the cat is out of the bag at least to their closest friends and coworkers, and we get the wedding. Tsuge and Minato seem to be settling in well together and are an unexpected resource for Adachi and Kurosawa, especially Minato with his connections to help them find a new place to live. While Adachi does have a bit of a low point worrying that their relationship is the reason they're struggling with house hunting and wedding planning, it turns out they really do have a lot of support and seems like most things so far have worked out well. Kurosawa's planning folders might be a little daunting, but Adachi doesn't know about those... yet.

We get more of Tsuge and Minato's story here, which seems to be looking up after a bit of a slump where they weren't in contact with each other. Can't blame Minato here either as Tsuge really did leave things off on a really weird note before he ended up touring. It's cute how they come back together after the show, though.
Meanwhile, Adachi and Kurosawa are still working together and when they remember, house hunting. It seems like maybe Kurosawa's parents are warming up to the two of them as well given the interaction in this volume. Rokkaku is also still oddly endearing and yet a tad helpless at the same time both when it comes to their work in the office and his observations about Adachi and Kurosawa.... double dates? Really?

No update on Tsuge and Minato this time around as there's a lot going on with Adachi and Kurosawa. Adachi has finished his work in Nagasaki and returned home to Tokyo to live with Kurosawa, as well as both of them facing the dreaded first meeting of the parents. Adachi's family seems very supportive, while Kurosawa's seems will take some time and work to really convince them they are sincere and won't regret being together. The Tokyo office doesn't seem to have picked up on their relationship either except for a certain office BL fangirl who doesn't know anything specific but seems to ship the boys a lot. Otherwise, they seem to be settling into their life together pretty well for the most part, just so long as they remember to communicate, or there may be a few more fights in the future.

It's good to see Adachi and Kurosawa really supporting each other and learning to be in a relationship, especially without the use of Adachi's gift to aid in their interactions or communications. Tsuge is rather hilarious with this "gangster" look, though it's too bad it seems to be a bust for it's intended purposes. Tsuge seems to at least be hitting friend territory with his crush, though being seen as a pseudo dad is definitely a blow. On the other hand, Kurosawa takes the magic reveal surprisingly well, even using it to his own advantage in the office. It looks like Adachi isn't out of the woods yet though with the bosses now seeing him in a new light and assuming he's still single. Sometimes there are more downsides than you think in hiding a relationship.

Adachi really is a hilarious character, while also very unsure of himself. Not that he has any clue what to do beyond that realization or what being in a relationship will actually mean for the both of them. His friend is also making some progress, if minimal, with his delivery boy crush. We get another tie in as well with some backstory realizing this is the same dancer classmate that Adachi and Kurosawa's new coworker refers to during their party night.

Adachi may be starting to realize his own feelings, but is mostly still in denial, though Kurosawa's sister may have forced things a bit with her appearance. While Adachi lacks a lot of self awareness, even with this magic thing going on, he seems to be oddly perceptive when it comes to those around him. Even his novelist friend seems surprised when he realizes his new main character seems to mirror a certain delivery boy.

The set up for this story is oddly hilarious and adorable at the same time. After reaching the age of 30 while still a virgin, Adachi finds himself able to read other people's thoughts when he touches them. This inadvertently leads to the realization that the office hottie everyone is crushing on and thinks is perfect is actually crushing on him. To add to the hilarity, he seeks advice from his best friend who is a romance novelist and doesn't believe the telepathy bit at all.... until he himself turns 30 and the tables are now turned on him as well. In Adachi's case, he can't seem to make up his mind if he's interested in Kurosawa or just thinks of him as a friend, but Kurosawa seems to be almost too perfect with how respectful and thoughtful he tries to be (personal fantasies aside of course). On the other hand, our novelist here seems to be the one most interested in learning more and person he wants to see more is the one being standoffish. In both cases, it seems this new magic may be more useful than originally thought.
