Alicia is a rather unique character who actually wants to be the villainess, rather than the more traditional isekai where someone finds themselves a saint, a hero, or a villainess trying to rewrite their story. Alicia does want to write her story differently, but only to become better than the original character in the game. What she seems to fail to grasp in this process is that what she actually manages to accomplish is mostly actually really good aside from maybe in her second meeting with the actual saint of the story that she's determined to make her rival. There's only 3 episodes out so far, but there's a lot of potential. For all that the story seems to insist the prince and the saint must be together, it also seems the prince has a fondness for Alicia herself at this point. That's without the constant shock of her breaking norms with her political views, learning swordsmanship, and now being a "deviant." Maybe she was a bit overzealous in her quest to become the best as quickly as possible. Now just what does the king mean in his request for her to be the saint's "watcher?"

This is a different isekai in a way as the character doesn't just live a different life or re-live their previous life. Elise has a second life in a completely different world where she learns to be a doctor before dying for the second time and waking up back in her first life just before her engagement to the crown prince. This time, she's determined to do things differently, but that also means her relationships with those around her also change drastically. The first season ends with a bit of a cliff hanger as we still don't know the results of her bet with the king, let alone what will happen with her relationship with Linden, especially now that she's realized his secret. Perhaps the only thing that is clear is that wherever she is, her knowledge and skill in medicine will be valuable at a moments notice and she's not afraid to jump right in.

Aileen wakes in this world as her engagement is annulled with Prince Cedric. The catch is, this world was an otome game she played in her previous life, and she recognizes the life she's now living as that of the villainess of the game's story. In her quest to stay alive, she not only finds a new life, but a new love and new friendships while also banding together with a few older friendships that prove true even after her engagement is broken. The Demon King, Lord Claude, is a rather interesting character, and fortunately turns out to be a rather good fit with Aileen, even if her original desire to find him was for very different reasons.
