Elias is caught red handed so to speak, and more than one party appears to be worried how certain aspects of Ses House might reflect back on Shu. It's difficult to tell if the necklace scene is a flashback to the current life events or the previous life, but either way, this seems to be a mirror of a past experience that at least gives Shu the insight with how to deal with it this time given the previously unknown sender. There also appears to be trouble brewing between Richelieu and Theobald, both in relation to the Ses House adventure and their own little power plays behind the scenes. Neither one wants to back down or be controlled when they have their own plans in the works. This talk of engagement for Jeremy is also rather sudden, though there is a point that it would take at least some of the pressure off of Shu, so long as it truly is what both of the kids want in the long term, but they really are still kids at this age. Unsure when the next volume will come out to learn more, but when they are release, the volumes are rather thick even though the story itself is fairly slow moving with all of the complexities.

There are more answered revealed here, especially when it comes to Choi's original motivations. It's interesting though, that when he realizes Na may be innocent of his previous assumptions, he also finds himself genuinely wanting to continue their relationship and hoping Na will choose him. He seems more bothered by the idea Na may be getting played and be hurt than himself, which is a very different characterization from when he's cringing to himself and plotting his next moves. It looks like the next volume will have some fireworks as the truth comes out, at least as far as Choi's choices and Na's familial relationships go. It'll be interesting to see if the fanboying comes out as well, though that's been one of Na's biggest fears up to this point. They both came into this relationship hiding things and making some really questionable decisions, but both of them can't seem to help hoping that the other feels the same.

This is a big mix of steamy with hilarity and more than a little confusion. Na Aejoon is a high school teacher who appears to be related to the leader of A-One, not that the link has gotten him any closer to his bias, Choi Siyeol. It seems like chance or fate when Choi ends up filming at Na's school and wants him to be his co-teacher for the series with him - but is it really? There's something more driving Choi's persistence here, which combined with Na's insistence to hide his own obsession could easily blow up in both of their faces. It'll be interesting to see how thing roll out and if they really do both like each other or if these games they're both playing will pull them down in the end.

I found this is published on Tappytoon already if you can follow the chapter numbers to jump from the first two published volumes to the last one. It's also listed separately from the rest of the series due to the change in the artist for publication. The story still picks up where expected, with Felix just now getting all the answers and determined to make Isaac's family his own. With everything that comes about from the press releases as a result of all of this commotion, it's interesting that Isaac continues to use the name Felix knows him by (and probably Benjamin too, though he just calls him "Daddy") rather than reclaiming his previous identity. It is also amusing to watch Felix go from wanting to impress Isaac's family so Isaac will want to stay with him to wanting to actually be part of the family and how everyone dotes on Benjamin once the relationship is known. The ending is somewhat expected and hilarious, though honestly with how things played out from their first meeting, anticipated that revelation to come much sooner. As is, the couple is in for another wave of surprises.

There isn't as much explicit detail in this volume, but a lot of high intensity scenes as Isaac must escape from being held hostage and Felix is more obsessed with him than ever. More than a few secrets have come out in this volume. It's interesting how Cole puts things together even though Felix didn't mean his words in the way he took them in, yet it was true all the same. Isaac finally admits to the final big secret now that the pieces are all falling into place. The title also makes sense now as well, not just from the title of Isaac's postcards, but from the conversation with Cole. Also some confusion as well with the different name, though that makes much more sense once Felix starts getting the real buried information about Isaac. We're left on another cliffhanger at the end as we know there are other people tasked with finding Isaac's family and getting them out, but Isaac isn't doing too well himself and it's no small secret he's panicking about Benjamin.

Given the mature warning on the cover and the omegaverse setting, the explicit nature of the story is not surprising. What is surprising, however, is the world building with the secret services and missions that start off the story. While it hasn't been confirmed, everything points to the original encounter four years before the main story also being between our two main characters (Isaac and Felix). For all that Felix claims to hate omegas, especially after that first encounter that he doesn't realize was also Isaac, he makes several suggestions and comments that hint he wouldn't mind Isaac actually being an omega, especially if it means that he can claim him. With all of this piled up, it's surprising that Isaac would even want to consider continuing any sort of relationship with Felix after potentially needing to pull up all of his roots yet again. We end on a rather tense cliffhanger however, with no idea who is now holding the gun, which is a pretty good hook to wanting the next volume in order to discover what is going to happen with all of this cloak and dagger, let alone their tentative relationship.

This continues to be a very slow world building, but it also gets more interesting as pieces fall into place. While Ian is struggling with finally understanding he's believed to be the dragon knight, he can't actually recall those memories clearly at all, but there are small things here and there that would not be so familiar or he would know nothing about if he didn't have some vague awareness of those memories. His dual feelings for Jack and Cardinal Brixton continue to be a challenge to navigate as well as the Cardinal has his loyalty as a knight and for saving him as a child, but he can't deny his feelings for Jack at this point either, even with this new turmoil over if the feelings are really his or his past self's. For all that Jack is so aware of Ian, he doesn't seem to understand how his mind works or what he is struggling with now, which makes some sense with the added knowledge of how he learned to be "human" in the first place. Really, they both seem to want the same things, even if coming at them from different points of view. If only they'd actually talk about it instead of all this cloak and dagger, especially before Cardinal Brixton's next plan causes any other issues for them.

This continues to be a rather tense tale as the story unfolds. Violet is finding her own happiness and security, though she admits to be lonely from time to time and does think of Winter, regardless of if she wishes not to. Winter, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have thought of much else than what Violet went through and has yet to fully grasp what she wants, though he has a far better understanding for her previous state of mind and suffering. He's still trying to set up his perceived version of the perfect world for Violet without actually asking her what she wants, which seems to be a rather big crux to their frequent misunderstandings. On the other hand, Winter is beginning to feel the same lonely pain that she felt previously, to the point that he is now the one initiating their most recent switch, not that he'll admit to it. While he may be trying to save face, it seems like coming clean would be the better choice here, especially as it seems likely to happen more often as he continues to spiral and seems convinced the best choice is to remove himself from the equation.

The Star Seekers 6

The ending is a bit anticlimactic, which is why the slightly lower rating than the rest of the series. Though more casualties are paid, the boys are able to learn enough to at least put up a fight against the Dragon of the End, though it's really Viken who discovers the key at the last minute. Even with all of the preparations and discussions in advance, Soule is desperate enough to take the last step he's been warned against. While the boys seem to have succeeded, there were enough warnings about possible choices, especially for Soule summoning the singer, that it's hard to believe it's truly a "happily ever after." What about the costs they were warned about? How long until they take effect if they will or did their change in tactics somehow nullify that cost so it is no longer required? There's also no word on how either the Dragon Slayers or Dragon Sect react to events, though this was everything that they were invested in for so long. It's a bit strange that groups who were so fanatical about the Dragon's arrival completely miss it. It's sweet that they boys continue to stick together and honestly have tried to do their best all along, but there are so many gaps at the end that it's hard to really see it as an end.

Just when things are looking up with the Dragon Slayer Clan and Lote, the cat steps in again. Not sure what is up exactly with the cat or who her "master" is, but clearly is more trouble and seems to be the catalyst for Soule's most recent vision. Lote has reinforcements, but it's unclear if they've arrived in time or not. Some small consolation that Soule was able to at least eventually tell that the one goading them and attacking is not actually his mother - a small relief given the still tense relationship from past events and trying to mend those bridges. We know who DK is working for now, though working for seems a little extreme given his limit to "eyes and ears" and his careful maneuvers to not influence the boys directly if it can be avoided. Beyond that, seems to be a lot of chaos we'll be starting the next volume in the middle of.

The Star Seekers 3

The boys have a few answers, but are still missing a lot of the pieces to the puzzle. At least they now understand some part of what Soule is seeing and are able to attempt to plan in advance. Unfortunately, with that missing information, there's still a lot at risk. Still a lot of questions regarding the effects of using this black water and slightly concerned over the boy's new reliance on these potions. DK doesn't seem to know exactly what to make of everything either other than going along with the boy's wishes and trying to protect them as much as he is able to. Banya seems to have calmed down significantly after losing his place as the head of the Dragon Slayers, too, though that doesn't seem to curb just how dangerous his power may be. We see a lot more about other people that are not idols using powers now as well, though most seem to be part of these main groups and very few seem to be part of other smaller groups who have "less information" according to the Dragon Group. The boys don't appear to understand the significance of the Dragon of The End just yet either, which is referred to frequently as the event both of these main groups are watching for, though for very different reasons. Hopefully, they haven't bitten off more than they can chew with their desire to still perform this time despite knowing there would be another attack.

Star One are considered a second tier performance group just because they don't have any magic.... until they do. Now all of the boys except Eugene have manifested their magic, and at much older ages than has ever been seen before. Soule is the first to manifest, and rather spectacularly on live stage fending off an attack, but that just seems to open the flood gates of expectations and more intense training. It's a fast 180 from their agency basically waiting out their contract to drop them to now promoting them as fast and as hard as they can. DK's training is unusual to say the least as well, though at least some of the information he shares appears to be useful. Can't help but feel that there's something going on with the cat, too, though will have to wait and see what exactly. It's interesting as well that the only emphasis on magic appears to be for idols, with no mention of it for other people going about their daily lives. There must be some though, considering there are ones like DK who claims to be a magic trainer. That's not going into this mysterious group that appears to be targeting the boys either and thinks that they have some special role to play.

Maha may have stumbled upon the perfect "couples gift" to cheer Ryoc up even though he's trying not to panic about his new competition. Maha really is getting better at reading people as well, as seen both through her acting and her fall out with Hyunji. Even Lima gets involved now that she's seeing just how low Queen Entertainment will stoop to get their way. Ryoc's family continues to be a concern as well, though he seems to think he's on track to break away from them, and hopefully his plans do work out. There's only one more volume currently listed on the release schedule for this series, but that would be a lot of potential ground to cover unless the four year separation is really condensed. Will have to wait and see how things pan out for everyone, especially now that everyone in Tea Party has fallen for someone, not just Maha.

Just when you think things might start going smoothly, something else comes up. We now have a much more complete picture of Ryoc's past and Shax's beginning, which makes it even more confusing how he can possibly be on good terms with his brother. That's without taking into account this manager trying to poach Hyujin too, not that anyone else is aware of it at the time. If Ryoc and Maha have their way, they'll stay together and still remain successful as idols, even if Ryoc "takes a leave of absence." There's a fairly good chance that may change depending on how things play out and if Tea Party even survives all of this added pressure and drama. Poor girls have enough going on with the pressure to always diet and over perform while being the best at everything, but they have to deal with all of this backstabbing and overly controlling behaviors on top of it all. Kind of makes it a bit of a miracle anyone wants to be an idol.

Just when you think things might start going smoothly, something else comes up. We now have a much more complete picture of Ryoc's past and Shax's beginning, which makes it even more confusing how he can possibly be on good terms with his brother. That's without taking into account this manager trying to poach Hyujin too, not that anyone else is aware of it at the time. If Ryoc and Maha have their way, they'll stay together and still remain successful as idols, even if Ryoc "takes a leave of absence." There's a fairly good chance that may change depending on how things play out and if Tea Party even survives all of this added pressure and drama. Tea Party hits a few rough patches in this volume between the industry finding out about Maha and Ryoc and the rest of the girl's emotions being shut down even harder as the agency cracks down on the no dating rule. If not for Ryoc's maneuvering, even Maha would have been locked away and very nearly was, though that creates additional jealousy and resentment in some places. Maha even learns a bit more about a how to read people around her, how to develop her own acting persona, and opening to Ryoc when she's jealous instead of trying to perform as the perfect idol. It's hard to see where the series is going as a whole outside of Ryoc's new deadline and the focus on them as the main couple, but there's a lot mixed in with the other characters now as well and several wishing they could be closer or have better relationships. Even the agency admits they realize what they're doing to these idols with the dieting, dating restrictions, and performance schedules - not that it changes anything about how the industry runs. Considering all the things going on and the close calls in this volume, still cautiously optimistic things work out for these idols.

Trouble was indeed brewing at the end of the last volume, though the returning star is not the one reader's may expect based on previous highlights and conversations in the series. Fortunately, both Lima and Ryoc have some idea what to expect, and as a result are able to turn tides in their favor when this newbie sets his sights on Maha. For all that Maha and the rest are going through, they seem to do fairly well, even using Maha's most recent injury to their advantage. The volume ends on a bit of a sweet note where Ryoc and Maha finally get some time together when Maha gets some vacation time and Ryoc sneaks away between shoots to spend time with her. It's a big step given Maha's previous cluelessness and shy nature, but Ryoc seems to be thinking long term if his last question is anything to go off of.

Things seem to be going well for Ryoc and Maha, though Ryoc is rather hilarious when it comes to how he'll twist things so he gets a chance to see her. He even manages to grab a cameo in the sitcom with Maha and Hyuk, as well as playing on a game show together. The game show may not have gone as he hoped given Tea Party ended up with Lima La as their guest assistant rather than him, but it looks to have worked out for the best as Lima no longer seems to hate Maha. We see just how damaging the idol routine can be though between Maha's exhaustion and Ryoc's discovery over just how thin she's really become. We leave off with a cliffhanger at the end as Lima protests having unintentionally helped a group that is copying Shax (Ryoc's group) and hints that their missing member may be returning - though not in the way they had hoped.
