There's a little bit of disjointed story telling here as the main character seems to either remember parts of his previous life or in some scenes somehow is in the new world but also in another world or seeing parts of another world. Unclear at this point if this may have something to do with his abilities or something else, especially as a few times these types of visions have seemed to have some form of foreshadowing that has come into play later on. There's some good character building and lessons to be learned watching the interactions between the characters here, though it's more than a little extreme in some cases how it seems everything always is put on Naofumi. Though he gets a lot of grief for it, if anything his pact with Raphtalia especially and then later on other characters that slowly get closer to him seems to save him a lot so far. Given everything he's gone through, it's understandable why he would want to go home when all is said and done, though also can't help but hope he finds a new home going through all of this.

My Happy Marriage (2023)

The art is gorgeous and the story so far follows very closely to the manga, most likely to the light novels as well. As the book series this is based on is not finished yet, hoping it continues to follow the story closely and we don't end up with a lot of filler episodes like we have in years past with series like Inuyasha, Bleach, and D.Gray-man. If it continues along this same way, it promises to be a beautiful and compelling series that is very well done.

This is a series that is both interesting and confusing. It's downside is that we've been watching it subbed on Hulu and that means we sometimes miss things as we focus on wrangling a baby rather than the story line. Might enjoy it more if it was in English so I didn't have to worry about splitting focus so much. The premise is interesting however and the characters are definitely more complex than first glance would hint at. Wish I could get into it a little more as it feels like it deserves more, but I just can't do it.
