Princess Magic: First Look & Find

Dollar finds at baby resales are magical things, especially when they come with the Disney label attached. My daughter loves anything Disney, and especially the princess lineup, so of course this went in the basket. It has a brief description of each princess' situation at the time - cleaning, dancing, collecting treasure, going home, etc. that match with the character's story. The items or characters you are looking for in the picture correspond with this description and fit with the movies for the most part. I'm pretty sure some of the random dancers or shop keepers who are extras for Cinderella and Jasmine for example, may or may not have actually existed in the movie forms.

Minnie Mouse: Look & Find
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This was another resale find that my daughter couldn't pass up. She loves Look & Find books, especially if they are Disney themed. This particular book follows Minnie through her day as she shops, gets her nails done, and goes to the pet show. A fun interactive story with a simple hide & seek theme that any child can get behind playing no matter their level of reading.

Minnie: Best Friends
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Given my daughter's obvious love for Minnie/Mickey Mouse, it was an easy pick to add this to our children's shelves. Add in the activity gained from a "Look & Find" style book, and you have a small, easily transportable, favorite form of fun and games. As with most look and find books, check the back for additional game ideas, or make up some of your own based on the story or items found on each page. There are plenty of ways to enjoy this type of children's book.

Sofia the First: First Look Find
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Of course, what is a toddler "Look & Find" book collection without Sofia added into the mix. This is a frequent pick for the variety of finding activities as it also features her favorite Disney Junior character. I do wish perhaps that the book was bigger for more interactive fun, but it works well as a mobile game. Overall a good pick for small children to enjoy.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: First Look and Find
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Of course given our daughter's love for Mickey and Minnie Mouse, we had to add this one to her board book collection. The "Look & Find" concept is great as it gives a variety of activities per page and others that you can make up your own or choose from a suggested selection in the back of the book. The book itself is small, which makes it easy to put in her backpack for road trips or to carry around on her own, even when she was younger.

Winnie the Pooh: My First Look & Find
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Though it's made of materials tested for children 0+ months, it is an interactive book, so it's more suited to older children. At 8 months old, my little girl is more interested in just hearing my voice, looking at the pictures and playing with the pages than in actually following the story and finding the objects on her own just yet. I can easily see this book becoming a favorite as she does learn though, especially with the added challenges in the back of the book to double the play time.
