Things pick up quickly in this volume, though it's still a mystery as to whom may have been visiting the Prince's office - it's not even brought up at all. On the other hand, we get a lot from their visiting princess and her point of view on the whole visit, including how Prince William only seems to cheer up or ramble on when it comes to his adorable fiancé. While her ambitious may have originally had her targeting the crown, it turns out Lady Lily may be the best advocate and aid she could have hoped for, as well as potentially a new friend. This may be a relief to everyone as it gives Prince William yet one more grand scheme to gloat about his brilliant fiancé and Lady Lily is no longer concerned about this possible competition. In actuality, once their fight is handled, they are as lovey dovey and sappy as ever, much to their guard's amusement and sometimes disgust.

Lady Lily hardly seems to leave the palace these days outside of her outings with the prince or her friends. She takes a visiting princess monopolizing Prince William's time for her visit as her chance to sneak out and do whatever she likes without complaint. Except it seems like this princess may not be here for the reasons originally intended, and Lily may come face to face with yet more discoveries and realizations when it comes to her feelings for her fiancé. Surprisingly, Prince William seems to be putting his foot down on the matter at the exactly wrong time to potentially spin everything out of control sooner, though we won't know just how much damage is done until the next volume. Who is visiting Prince William's office? Did Lily actually send the letter from the bonus chapter? Hopefully the pair can get back on the same page quickly before too much damage is done.

Prince William is desperate to turn Lily's point of view around, and plays the part of the devoted fiancé perfectly. Except to him, it's not a play. Even those closest to him quickly realize the problem when they discover how he first selected Lily and the lack of any real discussion regarding their feelings since then. Lucky for William, Lily has slowly been coming to her own realizations and is surrounded by those who are willing to give her good advice for the sake of her own happiness without their own wishes clouding things, though they're also more than willing to keep her by their own sides if Lily does part ways with the prince.

The more Liliana tries to find a way out of her unexpected engagement to Prince William, the more he seems to be determined to hold onto her, and he's not the only one. With the sole exception of Prince Jose, it seems like everyone has decided this is a match made in heaven and they couldn't be happier with William's choice in Lady Lily. It seems like Lily doesn't realize just how different she is, especially compared to the other noble ladies. Add to that her determination to not make anyone else look bad due to her own perceived short comings, and it's not so surprising that she easily wins the hearts of so many.
