The Margrave's Daughter & the Enemy Prince 6 by An Ogura
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This is a very quick read that, on the surface, doesn't seem to have a lot in the way of moving the story along, but it does reveal a good deal of Theo's plans for the Eclipse family and cements what Prince Kenneth must do in order to stop them. Anna is left in the dark at the moment, but seems to have her own ideas as far as playing along with things to gather information. Hopefully, she can reunite with her own allies sooner rather than later, especially as Theo seems quick to dismiss her as having any involvement in current matters.

The Margrave's Daughter & the Enemy Prince 5
The Margrave's Daughter & the Enemy Prince 5 by An Ogura
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
There are several key turning point in this volume, though it seems it may be too little too late if this latest announcement and scheme is anything to go by. We're left hanging at the end of the volume however to discover just how far Prince Kenneth will push things and if his supporters really will stay with him after all. While he does enter the grand ball with Anna, he's also already received the ultimatum to choose Raven and further the Eclipse family's own goals. It seems they may have also managed to rope in Anna's family, which may further hinder their plans as Anna's own support was vital to their bluff from the start. Just how far down does this plan really go and can they escape in time.

The Margrave's Daughter & the Enemy Prince 4
The Margrave's Daughter & the Enemy Prince 4 by An Ogura
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Yet more of the stakes the country faces come to light with Prince Kenneth and Raven return. In the meantime, Anna has been busy turning the academy on its' ear and now seems to have won over the school in her favor, even above Iris' previous spotlight. With Kenneth now returning and Iris realizing Anna may be an even bigger threat and rival than she assumed, it will be interesting to see how the Eclipse family retaliates. Though Iris may at least think that her feelings are more true than her siblings, and that allows her a different fate, it seems she also is aware that she is just a pawn in her father's games and there is ultimately very little she has control of as events unfold. Anna, on the other hand, seems determined to blaze her own path and refuses to bend to demands, which just draws Prince Kenneth to her even more.

The Margrave's Daughter & the Enemy Prince 3
The Margrave's Daughter & the Enemy Prince 3 by An Ogura
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Anna is slowly learning more about this new kingdom and exactly what Prince Kenneth envisions her role as in all of this, including why he seems to be going along with the Eclipse family and their control over the kingdom. Waves start to form when Kenneth's personal bodyguards show up at the school, but they're there for Anna, not his supposed fiancé, Iris. Anna even manages to pull some surprising moves that help out the knights and gain her some favor with the citizens in Prince Kenneth's stead. Unfortunately, that may have brought even more attention to her from the Eclipse patriarch, who seems keen on pulling her into his own control and orbit as soon as possible.

The Margrave's Daughter & the Enemy Prince 2
The Margrave's Daughter & the Enemy Prince 2 by An Ogura
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Prince Kenneth is a hard character to understand, and seems to be doing an excellent job of making things as complicated as possible for Anna. Anna, for her part, seems equally annoyed and angry by his games as she is interested in the strategy behind his moves. While her new school is a social nightmare, it seems she's made some interesting friends along the way, in thanks truthfully to Prince Kenneth's own alliances and puppeteering behind the scenes. He does indifference very well in public, but when it is just Kenneth and Anna, it's clear that he does indeed find her interesting if nothing else. Seems he has more than a few ulterior motives and doesn't see himself as already engaged, though those around him take it as a foregone conclusion at this rate.

The Margrave's Daughter & the Enemy Prince 1
The Margrave's Daughter & the Enemy Prince 1 by An Ogura
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
Anna looks the part of the beautiful margrave's daughter, the same as her sisters, except her personality and goals clearly take after her father. She has no interest in society's expectations, but instead wants to join her father on the battlefield. When her father is suddenly killed in battle, Anna finds herself as the sacrificial lamb to exchange for her brother's life. While at the exchange, the enemy prince shows up and takes an interest in her, as well as her goal of destroying his kingdom. Despite his declarations that he'll make her his princess bride and they'll use each other, he seems to play to his own whims and suddenly has additional hoops for Anna to jump through if she wants to be worthy of earning the role of his bride.
