We've seen Lucy featured in past films, but Jack has been MIA since being interviewed during the Christmas attack in the early films. This time John isn't even in the U.S. to claim his "cop" status. Instead he's off in Russia trying to find his wayward son, who ends up being an undercover CIA agent. Guess danger runs in the family. Interesting how they go from being at odds with each other to being each other's best friend and trusting each other implicitly as the odds continue to stack against them. Despite being somewhat predictable and following the themes set in the previous films, this series is always enjoyable with each new installment.

Lots of wry and somewhat dry or occasionally crude humor here. Detective John McCain is back in action, sent to get a local hacker when a fire-sale takes over the city. Tech tricks and unlikely help add up to another crazy adventure as McCain once again does the impossible and sets out to save the day, hopefully saving his daughter and new tech buddy along the way.

I'm not entirely sure why, but there's something about the thrill factor and the unbeatable odds that makes me love this series. This character is perfect for Bruce Willis. It's a thrill each and every time. As always, I enjoyed the installment.

Who says it's realistic? But it sure is entertaining! Once again Bruce Willis kicks some serious butt. Not even on duty, yet he'll have to go against orders to find the real mastermind that's supposed to be working the same case. Nothing gets past this cop, especially when his wife is coming in.
